Hi there! Welcome to Deviant Art!
Llama Emoji-22 (Waving) [V1]  Big welcome to DeviantArt!
Hi!
Hi, my name is Lisa and I wanted to welcome you to Deviantart.  Confusion is a beautiful abstract piece, and I can't wait to see your next piece.  I wanted to give you some quick information about Deviantart.

1) It has a welcome center for new DA(deviants) Here is the link: forum.deviantart.com/devart/we…
You can click on Deviantart underneath the Welcome to Deviantart and go to other Forums.

2) Llamas are located under the "Give" button top right on your screen.  They don't cost you anything and you can give them to other DAs.  I use mine as ways to say hello or thank you, but each DA uses them for different reasons, just wanted you to know they are available for your use.  Once you have given a llama to a DA you can't give another one to that person.

3) Deviants Online is the "People" icon top right of the screen,n it shows you who is on
Deviantart at any particular time.  If you want to chat with a particular person, this is a great way to see if they are on Deviantart.  Also, its' a great way to see when your watchers are on Deviantart, so if you want to interact with them, you can.

4) Every upload to your gallery comes with links that you can use to link your picture back to you Deviantart gallery.  They also have social network buttons that you can use as well.

5) Groups are communities within Deviantart, Each group is different, some have challenges that they come up with to encourage creativity or to help deepen your knowledge and experience of the area you are working on as an artist.  They are also a community of other DA who share the same interest.  You can check out this abstract group with this link: think-abstract.deviantart.com/
Deviantart has lots of groups, locate the "House" button top left underneath the Deviantart Search engine.  Click the button, it brings you up to a new window type in abstract...Lots of groups for the abstract artist.  No limit to my knowledge of the number of groups you can join.

6) Last one, I have a "How To" folder in my favorites.  I have found journals that other DA's have written that are really great for getting started, having an online presence, and what to do if you are having an issue with online abuse.  Here is the link:

Have a great weekend, and happy painting

Lisa
